Freshman Definition and Criteria

Freshman

Definition of a Freshman is an applicant who at the time of application:
  • Is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Is a degree-seeking applicant and is without college credit
  • Whose only college credit was received prior to high school graduation or is still in high school, with or without college credit
  • An applicant who has enrolled in a post-secondary institution since high school graduation, with or without credit received, must apply as a transfer applicant
